talk and do

as most of you would've known, my aunt is in her last stage of lung cancer. she was first diagnosed with cancer on 15th may 2005 (i think). with a cancer patient in the family, i realised that not only is the patient suffering, but the family and friends surrounding the patient have to learn to cope with the illness too.

for this whole year, i've learned one thing: as a friend/family member to the patient, you may mean well by giving suggestions and advices as to what the patient should do or eat. but, bear in mind that you may not be the one who is actually taking care of him/her. if you think the patient should eat blended fruit juices or herbal soup and etc. then, my suggestion is make them yourself and bring them to the patient. giving instructions and advices are just not good enough. that will bring a toll on the person taking care of the patient. all these i've seen with my own eyes.

An Invigorating Treat

3.30pm

babee brought me to Glenmarie Spa, its a shared common spa for both females and males. Upon our arrival, a girl brought me to the lockers to change and at a glance, i could see Guinot make up remover, moisturiser, and cleanser placed next to the hairdryer. Changed, i was brought to the common area where both men and women shares the room for short chats, t.v, mumm-mumm, foot reflexology, manicure and pedicure. at the sides, there were 6 private rooms, all facing the golf course for pre-reserved couples or friends and families. the environment was very green, the food was tasty and at a reasonable portion. they serve haagen daaz ice cream too...yummy!

40 minutes massage, plus whirl pool, free unlimited internet access, food and drinks all in all RM148++. For RM298, you get all of the above plus 1 facial and face lift. Lets all go one day!

7.5 Ounces

Too bored and don't feel like doing any work. Since I haven't had much to say since joining this happening blog, I'm gonna announce that...

I just went to the toilet at 4.oopm and pumped 7.5 ounces of milk.
Yummy for little Izac.

Just wondering, any one of you breastfed your babies?

Road Maniac

vp was waiting for her beloved kwailo outside sentral station. suddenly a man opened her doors and went in, asking if she wanted to buy some stuffs. (am i right? couldnt really remember the story, but i know someone went into her car)

about one month ago...

as usual, i drove to work. stop at a traffic light. 'x' car blocked 'y' car. it was 'y' car's right of way. so 'y' honked 'x'. first time, nothing happened. 2nd honk - 'x' reversed his car, slammed into 'y'. and 3 fierce looking men came out, walked straight to 'y', opened the doors. 2 very 'si mun' office attired guys came out.

and the lights turned green - i dont know what happened after that.

yesterday...

is was driving. she saw a man following her very closely. the man was holding something in his hands. thank god nothing happened.

it's really scary these days on the road. especially us ladies, please ensure the car doors are locked at ALL times.

our night out

it has been quite a while since we last went out party. and since jack & thrisha came all the way from penang, we gave ourselves an excuse to go out. well, we actually only wanted a quiet place where we can drink and talk, so we didnt called too many people. we only called vp & kl, and also billy & od. too bad the latter couldnt make it.

we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. it had been quite a while. 4 couples 3 bottles - you can imagine how FUN it was. we drank & cheered to mother's day. we laughed and party-ed till 230am before the yaps headed to taiwan porridge for supper. we talked so loud, i was afraid the other table would come whack us.

we thought we wanted od & billy to share our fun, so at 3am, we called billy, no answer. then kwailo called od (ahem, it wasnt our idea to call od ok it was kwailo's heheh.). should have gotten "f**ked" hahaha.

anyway, it was a nice parents' night out though.

happy mommy's day

i'm sure you guys have read about that terrible incident in klcc.

well, actually it was really not that bad. as uncle said, we didnt loose him. he just went next door. but to me, loosing him 2 seconds mean a million years. yes, i agree with him that i sort of over reacted. but i am like that. i'm always too emotional.

i always have this phobia - the fear of loosing my precious ray ern. the moment i heard re was not at sight, i just went mad. i may be over reacting, but i'm sure every mother out there will feel the same.

we, mothers have to worry about so many things. when they are young, we are afraid they might not be well. When they grow older, we are afraid they might follow the wrong route. Does these worries ever go?

Long time no blogging

Happy Mother's Day to all you mommy's out there... I am literally counting the days to Melbourne. I can't wait to eat my yummy food, see all my dearest frens, just enjoying the cold weather etc...Well here are some of the itenerary :-

a great time

met up with the bunch in plaza damas, starbucks. somehow, plaza damas had became a happening place - duh.

i brought uncle's notebook, but he was too shy to take it out as the battery had gone a little mad that he was embarass to use their electrical point. whatever, thank god johnny brought his dell. we looked thru the websites and we were all laughing our hearts out. it was kinda fun, although there were a lot of f***, sheh lei keh h**, t**, ma cb etc etc.

we didnt really confirm the accomodation, but at least we shortlisted 2.

anyway, after that we sat and chat a little. we really had a great time, just imagine if we're in melbourne - cant wait.

oh.. and kwailo brought up something really interesting. early that evening he called, i answered but he sounded different. so i asked him what it was, he called me again, this time he sounded like a chipmunk. everyone had their chance to listen, and all laughed. it was some kinda service provided by DIGI. fun, though. johnny called sin - she asked if it's od. (does od sound like a chipmunk? well, i mistaken the monster voice for johnny) hahaha.

anyway, another amusing thing was uncle. he was asking things over and over again that vp, kwailo & i couldnt stop laughing. and now they actually understand me.

well, guys, i really had a great time yesterday. it has been quite a while since we last sat down and really talk after we had kids. cause most of the time, we will be chasing around after the kids.

Melbourne...here we come!!!

over the last few days, the hottest topic was "so, you want to go to melb or not?". initially it was just me, babee and renee going to visit Paul, but after a few pushes and sweet talk, OD and Lauren has finally agreed to come along with us. I have also booked Jeff, AM and RE's ticket. We have yet to decide on the accomodation but most probably Jeff will be bunking in with Ron at Crown Casino while AM, OD and I sleeps in the service apartment just like good old BKK days...

I can't wait, i am so excited about this trip...i started buying travel size shampoos and toothpste yesterday at Mid Valley. I was also contemplating on buying Huggies pants to ease Renee's worries for hygiene. (she doesnt poo or pee if the toilet is wet). i also bought tooth brush but i think it is still early...

last night i managed to instigate Rena too...hahaaha but she will have check with partner first. And now, i will try to charm both IS and SS with words...come la come la come la come la...

we have decided to leave on the morning of the 25th, but OD said we loose one day, so maybe we may change it to 24th night instead. So, for IS and SS, please confirm your attendance soon as 25th is just 2 weeks away...would love to have all you girls there!
