last week i got a call from pal (aka ailyn). she told me that she will be flying off to canada for a whole 2 months. wow, how nice. hollywood has offered mc (her hubby) a cast. a movie with jet li. hehehe, supposed to meet up with her on sunday, but with all uncle's aunties, i have to postpone.

yesterday went to her house. met up and chatted. played with jada. gonna miss her though. her parents are gonna miss jada a hell lot (that's what u.pow told me) poor thing. from seeing her everyday to not see her 2 months. must be so sad and quiet.

she is so excited. i am also excited for her. so nice. a really good opportunity though.

anyway, awaiting for the hollywood star to come back.

2pm - visits to Getson saloon is confirmed - the stylist is called Yukisan + Masakisan, while i get back to the office to work my flat ass off...

7pm - visits to Shogunsan is tentatively confirmed, KL will be in BKK, so if I come, i will bring my Renee...which means I will not enjoy much of the dinner..so how? let me know u aunts.

hehehe, wonder why i've put this title? hehehe, somehow, i always call kl ah loot (forgot why...i think it originated from the australia trip). yesterday, after that lil get together, everyone left. we were talking outside the gate for like 10 minutes - looking at lil lauren's h&f mould.

when uncle & i went into the house, his cousin asked "who's phone is this?"

immediately i called mr loot. before i can get connected, vp's phone rang. it was him, and asked me to meet him outside the house. obviously, they already knew. and the moment i saw them i said "your wife is damn loot."

hehehe and there goes the mr & mrs loot!!!

calling the 'bunch'. hey u guys, wanna go 1u for japanese buffet? on thursday after our new hair-do!! (yes yes, u guessed right, i'm on leave again!!!) Kinda occupied this thursday - 11am to gynae with vp, noon to hairdo with od, evening to buffet dinner with the bunch (if it's confirmed).

shogun japanese buffet? i think it's rm42++ (have to ask is, she is the only one who has been there). so if yes, we shall meet at 7?? or 8??

sashimi, sushi, teppanyaki, tempura, etc etc... yummy yum yum, cant wait!!!

caffeine lives!

coffee is a must everyday! at least half a cup. you know what? leaving a few instant nescafe sticks at joanne's parents' house is a good idea. whenever i'm there, can just help myself to the coffee. even alex was so surprised one night when i asked, "anyone wants coffee?" david and gary took me on my offer. after i made, alex asked, "where did you get coffee here?" i proudly said, "i bought lar the other day, chor yat when i was close to getting migraine". he didn't have anything to say thereafter. hehehe!

sometimes, i think i should carry a few of those instant sticks in my bag. hehehe! will be cheaper than trying to find starbucks mocha each time when i feel that i'll be hit by migraine.

the other cure for migraine is coca cola. but i rarely use that "treatment" these days unless there's lotsa air inside me. now, i'm famous for my coffee.... even at my in-laws' place, when i go about looking for coffee, they'll ask, "headache again arr?" hah!

addictive

just now i was telling vp that i really want to eat cake now. this hasn't happened for a long time. last time before i had ray ern, i used to have this urge to eat chocolate & cakes, which i would drive out to any place to buy them. ever since i had re, my diet changed.. anyway.

i am trying to take 10 minutes leave to go to the nearest bakery to buy those old-fashion cake (if you know what i mean)...

then, i thought of is. she and her caffeine. she cannot live a day without coffee. she has this migraine problem which only coffee could help. hehehe, at first i thought it was a little funny, as most migraines are activated by caffeine. whereas she, is the other way round.

anyway, i guess all of us has something we crave for once in a while.

for those lamb lovers, burger king has come out with a new lamb burger -first ever lamb burger in malaysia. believe me, it is really nice. the other day uncle & i thought wanted to try, so we bought one to share. it was so nice, the 2 of us almost fought over it (hehe, a little exaggerating). the burger is big.

so guys, go get it.

lately due to the "kai" yau flu, mutton high cholestrol, beef mou mai in my building...*sigh* sigh*, i have to turn to FISH! yes, the item i least like on the menu...

no choise, everyday, tapau fried fish with vegetable and salted egg. So cham...so so cham...

but i think it also has helped me in my "miu tiu" waistline..hahahaha

I can only recall some bits of the movies so ..... 1st omen was like damien was a young kid and he was at a church and no one knew he had these satanic powers . One of the clips in the movies was that he just stared at the man from the window and the whole glass or something or another killed him . and Of course slowly there is the hero priest that would try and take the curse away from him .... similar to what VP said ... I just can't seem to recall much coz its been years since i last saw omen ....

all i can is.....keng-keng....keng-keng (*palm pounding on chest*)...

Omen laaaaa....what do you expect? mah something like Poltergeist and other kwailo ghost movies lo. the last one was about a girl having premonitions over herself or father dying..then jun jun on the day of the christian calender-666, she was cursed and the priest had to splash 100+ (oooopppsss...i mean holy water) on her and chant, then blahhhblahhhblahh until she was saved lo...

typical girl in white lazy pyjamas, with bronze long hair that has not been washed for like 2 weeks, then lagi with dark eye circle as big as a 50ct coin...she will usually sit on a dark brown wooden chair or wooden bed when the priest is chanting from the bible! Let's see if i am right this time, let me know on 7th of June 2006 ok...

i just remembered. ailyn and i were talking about the omen movie the other day. so i went to surf the net. the very first omen movie was screened in 1976. wow, i wasn't even born. it was listed in "THE 1000 MOVIES YOU MUST SEE BEFORE YOU DIE" list. anyway, i have not watched any of the omen movies at all. is it really a must-see???

back to what i was saying...
ailyn told me that the newest/latest omen will be out. apparently it will be screened in all cinemas on the 6th June 2006. ie. 6/6/06.....

hehehe, both of us thought, what a great marketing idea!!!
so folks, watch out and since i have missed all those previous ones, i bet i am not going to miss this one.

i can't swim!

okok, i know i won't be at the bbq (which has now been confirmed at johnny and ah sin's mansion at 4pm) the whole time. but, we'll most probably go at 4pm, leave and then, go back again after dinner.

so, the babies (or toddlers/kids) will be swimming in water and the women will be swimming in tiles. the men will be starting the fire (or so i hope!). what do i do?

a fren's mum...

a fren's mum had just left us on Monday morning due to breast cancer, so OD and I attended the "afternoon wake". Johnny seems alright, he was happy that his mother's torturing was over and that she is going to a better place...

he ask how Lauren was, then my daughters (forgot her name, he tot i had 2 girls, OD corrected him) then how Billy was doing? OD's reply was, "I suppose he is doing well" in a positive way. OD then diverted Johnny's other Q's to me - "you want to know anything, ask JANIE la, she talks to Billy more than me...hahahaha (all laughed)

OD went to the loo, Johnny asked me very 8ly, "they got problems ah", "not doing well ah?" "you should know right?"

thursday work no more???

for those who have noticed, i usually will be on leave on thursday. hehehe, i didnt realised until vp told me. if you must know, it's because my mum goes to this 'woman association' which has a little pot luck every thursday. then she will leave ray ern with me in the office. and because this lil boy always disturb my work, i might as well leave for home (what an excuse).

anyway, looking at the calendar last week, i realised i was due for check up. i called up the clinic and somehow, the doc gave me an appointment on thursday (2nd march) together with vp. what a coincident. she asked me whether i will be going back to work after that. hmmm, a very good question!!!

the purpose of this blog is, if any of you has a suggestion of what we should do, then i might consider not going back to the office... hehehe. so u guys want to bring your lovables to kid's gym? or the gymboree? or just a little get together to drink and catch up on the latest diapers or the newest tricks?

Correct! it is not Anti-Billy, it is Billy-Illiterate as she has not fully understand this gollum look-a-like hubby of hers. He may be a lil' playful and irresponsible at times, but when he is in his gollum uniform, he is very sweet and loving to his master (AUD a.k.a BI).

Aud, you can be kinda impatient/hasty at times, that is why HIMSELF had matched you with this lil' slow-paced cum sensible fella (at times la) to slow u down. His silliness/frankness sometimes drives you up the wall, but this is the beauty of him! 30 years old still like 18 like that!

Q Bar

Met up with sis, Sarah and Connie at Q Bar, Westin last night for coffee. babee was also there with Danny, Jason and Renee but in Jason's room. I was at the bar counter sipping my coffee when I heard "Jenny".."Jenny" (the Chinese pronunciation, that's why Jenny), i looked up to the 2nd floor thinking babee was calling me from up there, but nope! so I returned to my coffee. A few more times "Jenny"...then the bartender brought a glass of Champagne to me asking if my name was "Jenny".

It was from the 3 gentlemen across the room, diagonally opposite the bar counter, slightly hidden from the pillars. At that moment I was thinking, Wah! still got market value wor...

Off coz it is not what u think it is...those were actually my U.K friends which I have not met for a few years due to various differences (rich brats who looses up to RM10k a night on the poker table, so rich but still smuggle drugs in from Amsterdam for own consumption, introduce their surnames as Benz/5series/Lexus instead of Tan/Eng/Lau...) hahaha funny leh?

But overall, they are really nice people if you know them, so i went over to say Hi! and toast my champagne...i asked where their beautiful wives were, all their throats were jammed up. After 10 minutes of socialising, i returned to my sis and my heavenly coffee. The bartender bought a bottle of Veuve Cliquot, Yellow Lable to my seat and said they had bought it for us. I immediately rejected then cancelled the transaction, but still thanked them anyway for the genorousity.

3 chicks arrived minutes later, all 3 were all over the 3 married men or shall I say vice versa. I watched with no curiosity despite knowing all 3 have beautiful wives/excellent figures at home waiting for them...then i silently told my sister that i am so blessed to have married the man who is with my daughter up in Jason's room watching wrestling and sipping Eau Claire...(not to say he won't do that, but atleast with a lil' respect + discreet)

dear all, a very happy valentine's day!!!

well, frankly speaking, i never really did celebrate this day. or maybe when i was still in college. i think this is a fairly expensive day to celebrate. all the surcharges on the dinner & the flowers. oh god... hehehe, sorry to say, maybe i am such a traditional chinese lady that i dont really care about all this sutffs.

A loving couple...

We were invited to Arthur and Rosie's house for his 55th birthday last night, it was a simple gathering with lots of close friends and lots of wine to spare. The house has a very cosy ambience and it is merely standing with palm trees, a swimming pool, lucky water features and thick green glasses surrounding it.

The guest-oriented couple showered us with their open affections towards one another even after so many years of being married. It was such a sight!

I wish everyone here a successful and meaningful marriage just like these love-birds.

just wanna correct something on vp's blog

it was just so awkward for me to watch a smaller kid splashing water at another, for fun yes, but not for revenge!

i think she meant 100plus!! anyway, to be frank, i personally think kids fighting is okay. they are kids, what do they know. but i was shocked when i see a little girl splashing water on to another kid. that is so unacceptable. moreover the parents sat in silence. is this act of encouragement? i really dont know.

thank god it wasnt my son, if not i would have explode. hehehe. poor thing renee & vp, must have gone up to their heads. anyway, more and more to come.... as i am planning to do bbq this saturday. hahaha.

a very happy chinese new year to all

i am writing this for the 2nd time. i dunno where my original blog went. first of all, a very happy chinese new year to everyone out there. just a little summary of my cny:-

1st day - in selayang - played a little mahjong. reached mum's house at 4pm. kena 8892
2nd day - mcd breakfast w all. to sook's house. home. curve shopping. dinner hainam restaurant
3rd day - everyone came, dipped in the pool, mahjong, dinner in hainam restaurant again
4th day - to BIL's house. home, sin, vp & ailyn came. chat, mahjong, kids fight
5th day - breakfast in ss2, to mid valley w mum dad & re. they left. vp, kl, aud, billy & us chatted a little (to be elaborated), mum's birthday dinner
6th day - to jln imbi breakfast, to curve for lunch, to voon's open house
7th day - breakfast in aman suria, 1u nando's lunch w vp & family, to derek's open house. everyone came to gamble.

5th day elaboration
we gathered in chillis, mid valley. we formed a new team - RENEE TEAM. and we called ourselves renee's supporters. i shouldnt say so much here, but since this is a gossip blog.... those who know what's happening knows what i'm saying (so, awaiting for vp & aud's blog).

dear friends,

since young, i've witnessed many deaths, serious illnesses and accidents of family and friends. i still remembered one of my church friends. he dropped off his wife and son at the hospital entrance and went to park the car. while crossing the road towards his wife's direction, a lorry came towards him and smashed into him. i've always wondered how strong must his wife be to witness that and to take care of her son single-handedly. and this lady is one of the most humble, kind and generous lady i've ever met. they live in singapore. and few years back, when my aunt was fighting leukaemia at the hospital, she along with her son will visit my aunt almost every day knowing that my aunt did not have many relatives in singapore. she also made a bird mobile for my aunt's room in singapore. today, my aunt is in heaven with God. but, the kindness of this friend lives in my heart and that of my family.

what i'm trying to say here is, when our loved ones are sick, we can only pray and hope that God's strength and courage be with him or her. whether he/she lives or die, like audrey said earlier, life is fragile. but, we can make the most of it. my other aunt is right now fighting lung cancer. she doesn't smoke at all. she was diagnosed with lung cancer in june 2005. that was a month after gary and i were engaged and set the date for our wedding on 1st january 2006. the doctor gave her 4-6 months to live then. i had a talk with her and asked her whether she would like us to bring our wedding forward. but, she said that since we've already made so many preparations, let it be. then, i told her that she has to fight to live to see me walk down the aisle. and she did. i thank God for that.

for yuko, pray for her... ask God to give her strength, courage and encouragement from family and friends. the little things you do for her will matter a lot.

life is short... love when we all still can. and smile always... that lights up the person next to you.

wow! i didn't check this blog for so long because i was away on honeymoon and once i returned, was busy with the chinese new year celebrations and now that i'm back to work, i finally had time to read each and everyone of your blogs.

to joanne, happy chinese new year and thank you for being such a great cousin-in-law... especially going out to buy nescafe with me. (for the rest of you, fyi... i had migraine on the first day of cny and was searching high and low for nescafe or coffee at joanne's parents' house but to no avail. so, we went out to petronas to buy the 3 in 1 nescafe.) and thank you to your parents for dinner yesterday. should have "warned" me that it was your mom's birthday. if only i read this blog earlier, janie did mention. hehehe!

fyi: i taught ray ern how to jump last night. of course, he can't lift up his feet. but he knows how to sit and jump. got what i mean? and gary taught him how to kick football.

to janie, gong xi fa cai! read your blog on renee's birthday party. you must be proud of yourselves to have planned 2 successful birthdays for both renee and reeve for the past few months.

to audrey, happy chinese new year! may the year of the dog brings you closer to lauren as she grows each day. :)
